This bag is born and bred right here in Guatemala. It is big enough and comfortable enough to take to the market (no plastic bags, right?) but cool enough to take with you out on the town. It even has enough pockets to hide a straw or two if you are so inclined.
This bag is full grain 7-9 ounce leather (about 1/8″ thick). It is 100% hand cut and hand stitched.
Calidá in Guatemalan Spanish means “something that exceeds your expectations”. This bag is simple and stylish. It is not as big as La Chapina , you can fit a lot in it, but you are not going to fit everything in it.
La Calidá is 10″ x 9″ and has 2 interior pockets and one exterior pocket. The top of the bag cinches shut and if that’s not enough, there is a snap to keep your valuables from falling out.
This is a great little purse for taking with you when you only want the essentials. It’s lightweight, and not too big, but just big enough for your important “stuff”.
This hot little leather beauty is 8 inches by 8 inches for just $69.00, if you need something just a little bit bigger check out La Hermana Mayor.
Of course, based on availability, you can also have your choice of colors.
La Bodega with it’s extra front pocket is the same size as the 10 inch by 10 inch Hermana Mayor. It just comes with a little extra storage. It’s great for keeping your important stuff handy, but still concealed. The front pocket measures 8 inches wide by 6 inches deep. As an added bonus, because of the way this pocket is sewn on, there is a hidden pocket behind the pocket!
La Hermana Mayor is “the big sister” to La Picante. She measures 10 inches by 10 inches. She has a lot of flexible space inside with 3 interior pockets. To go along with those interior pockets, there is also a 10 inch by 9 inch rear pocket where you can slip something like your cell phone so you can have easy access when you need it.
